Honored to Support Building Education’s Mission at the Deepawali Charity Gala

I was deeply honored to attend the Deepawali Charity Gala as a celebrity guest, joining incredible individuals such as Fiona Ma, Scotty Ly, Franco Finn, Miss California, Miss San Francisco and many more. During this inspiring evening, I proudly supported Building Education’s mission by donating a wellness self-love basket featuring signed first-edition copies of my Inner Child Healing Series—4 books designed to nurture emotional and spiritual well-being. The evening focused on raising funds for schools six and seven in Nepal, led by visionary founders Santosh Pandey, Nepal Project Executive, and Wendy Shew, Executive Director.

As a former teacher and department chair, education has always been a cornerstone of my work and values. During my 15+ years teaching career, I had the privilege of leading students on trips to Mexico to build institutional schools for underserved communities, advocating for children’s rights to education and equal opportunity. Witnessing firsthand how education can serve as a social enterprise to empower communities and create long-term solutions has deeply shaped my belief in its transformative power. This is why supporting this cause is so important to me.

However, significant challenges persist, and efforts are underway to address them.
